i kinda forgot about relay.catboys.science, but i'm adding it to the list of the services hosted under the Meow Tech Foundation umbrella now if one is an instance owner and wants their instance to get added to the relay, then one can message me about it and if i'll say that the instance is approved, then you can set up the relay in the instance settings URL for Mastodon also works for *key and Iceshrimp.NET, btw i'm just too lazy to maintain a fork of the relay software which would tell that on the page
hiyo! some updates 1. Open Collective's fiscal host i've applied to finally responded with advice to instead apply to their fiscal host specific to open source communities, they actually already host mastodon.world, so i think we will be a nice fit for them but this specific fiscal host requires for there to be two administrators in the organization, so... 2. we have a new member! meet sekomi (a.k.a. Emilia) - Pronouns: she/her - Website: sekomi.neocities.org - Fediverse account: @sekomi we both wanted for her to be the part of the initiative at some point, and now that Open Collective asked for there to be two admins, here we are - @link
i think i'll post more frequent updates on what am i currently doing, because why not contacted OVH support so that they would unblock the SMTP port, but i think they will do something on the next day or while i'm sleeping - @link
hello i realized that Open Collective doesn't really have any tools to publish a planned budget, so i made a little budget myself for transparency this is not extensive (i can't plan that much ahead, sorry) meowtech.foundation/budget/
hi :3 i have rehosted our Forgejo on the dedicated server which is also powering Wafrn and Sharkey apart from that: - it is now protected with iocaine instead of Anubis - now one can register using their Codeberg account - no email notifications for now, i want to switch to my own email server first - it is now on a new domain: git.meowtech.foundation
oh, and if any Chimera Linux users live in Ukraine or very close to Ukraine, then you are all very much welcome to test the mirror out (though the official mirror is in Czech Republic and there's also a Polish mirror, so maybe most EU folks should rather go with using those) either way, the mirror is hosted on mirrors.meowtech.foundation/chimera-linux and the instructions on how to use it can be found here: chimera-linux.org/docs/apk/mirrors the mirror also has the images for Chimera, just like every Chimera mirror: mirrors.meowtech.foundation/chimera-linux/live/latest/ - @link
